I needed to create a SharePoint 2013 Visual WebPart in Visual Studio 2012. This is the template, I was getting by default:
Now, if you google Office Developer Tools, you’ll be automatically redirected to the page of Office Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2015. There’s no menu available to choose a different version of it. You have to directly download it from the following url,
The above link will download the Web Platform Installer. Thereafter, installing it is pretty straightforward.
